Last Thursday, we had a full house as students from our Q4 elective, Entrepreneurship in the Built Environment, pitched their final business concepts. One student from each track presented their idea to an expert jury, made up of Remon Rooij (4TU), Chris Aerts (AplusV solutions) and Wendy Scherpenisse (Smits Vastgoedzorg). A big thank you to all three for their time and valuable feedback.
It was inspiring to hear the range of ideas on offer. Common Matter, presented by Olivier Wiegerinck, is an architecture firm redesigning existing agricultural plots into regenerative hubs. KlikTek, presented by Savine Hoeve, Aryton Lilles and Camilla Mussio, offers a modular and circular solution for traditional tile placement. A&B Loop, presented by Vera Huisman, Jonne Rode and Pien Zagt, is a non-profit research and development platform turning agricultural crops into the building materials of the future. Predevelopment Value Creation, presented by Guadalupe Starc, transforms underutilised land into permitted development assets through architectural design intelligence and strategic positioning.
Congratulations to Olivier and Guadalupe, who were awarded the prize for the best presentations.
A huge thank you to all students for their hard work, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the course. We are already looking forward to organising it again next year.
