An inspiring guest lecture and open discussion in the Entrepreneurship in the built environment course
Eric Geboers returned to TU Delft, a decade after graduating, to give a guest lecture to master’s students on entrepreneurship, where he shared insights from his journey building CONCR3DE. He discussed how they shifted their business model to focus on selling 3D printers instead of printed products, noting that customers already had industry contacts for end products, making this approach more scalable and commercially viable.
He reflected on early conversations with different investors. Eric highlighted the importance of strategic alignment, saying collaborations with his investors worked because both parties complemented rather than competed on technology. He stressed the need for mutual trust, clear mandates and shared incentives to make innovation partnerships successful.
He concluded with that it is about investing your energy in the right opportunities that truly fit your context and timing.
