Loy & Philipp on Nevalu

In contrast to conventional waste disposal or thermal recycling, we aim to establish recycled plastic as a high-value and visible material in society. We want to raise awareness for recycled materials and enable people to actively participate in circular design processes.

Our innovation offers customizable, sustainable products made from 100% recycled plastic. Through 3D printing and digital tools, we empower customers to co-shape their products and contribute to a more sustainable way of consuming. Our goal from the beginning has been to create products that are as sustainable, as individual, and as locally produced as possible.

We initially launched with a pop-up store to test and showcase our concept. Since October 2024, we’ve been running a permanent store in Münster, and in October 2025, we’ll open a second pop-up store in Düsseldorf to expand our reach.

Beyond our own retail presence, Nevalu is now represented by over 100 retailers across Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Denmark. This growing network helps us bring sustainable design to a wider audience - from boutique interior stores to concept shops and museum stores.

While we currently focus on interior accessories and furniture, we are also exploring applications at a much larger scale: we are conducting first tests with a robotic arm and a large-format 3D printer to develop components for the construction industry. This step reflects our long-term vision to make sustainable 3D printing part of the built environment - both aesthetically and structurally.

Loy & Philipp on Entrepreneurship

To us, entrepreneurship means taking responsibility and finding creative, practical ways to address societal and environmental challenges. With Nevalu, we combine sustainable materials, digital design, and additive manufacturing to create high-quality products with a purpose. We believe that entrepreneurship requires constant learning, adaptability, and a clear sense of impact. Especially within the built environment - one of the industries most responsible for emissions and resource use - innovative and responsible entrepreneurship is urgently needed.
