“The construction industry relies heavily on high-carbon materials while large amounts of reusable soil are discarded”
— Aarde Collective
Our company develops products and systems using rammed earth made from locally sourced and reused soil. Our goal is to turn excavated soil that is normally treated as waste into certified, circular building and furniture applications that reduce carbon emissions and material extraction. We started the company after realizing that the construction industry relies heavily on high-carbon materials while large amounts of reusable soil are discarded, and we wanted to bridge architecture, material research, and real production through a practical circular model.
Entrepreneurship means taking responsibility for turning an idea into something real by working within uncertainty, limited resources, and existing constraints. It is not only about starting a company, but about actively testing, adjusting, and taking ownership of decisions.
